Myers Musings: Final Thoughts

May 6, 2011

This current set of Myers musings meanders to an end. For now I feel talked out on the entire topic (although I may write something on the shadow).

So here are some final musings on the topic of Myers-Briggs

Myers Musings: INTP and Me

May 5, 2011

If INTJ are the conspiracy theorists then INTP are just theorists, period.

So what can we say about INTPs? I have some theories . . .

Myers Musings: Conspiracy Theorist = INTJ

May 4, 2011

After taking on the terrorists and mass killers of the INFJ tribe, I now look to see if all conspiracy theorists might be INTJ.

It is time to take the red pill and see how deep the INTJ rabbit hole really goes.

Myers Musings: bin Laden an INFJ?

May 3, 2011

My earlier post suggesting that the fictional Carrie Bradshaw might have been INFJ stirred up a hornets’ nest of INFJ wrath (ok, two replies questioning my choice).

Now it is time to poke even harder with that stick.

Myers Musings: Sex and the City Edition

May 2, 2011

On a post at Hope’s, David Foster suggested that an “interesting literary exercise would be to attempt to write characters with an awareness of their types.”

I am not claiming the creators of Sex and the City used Myers-Briggs, but you can clearly map the four female characters to Myers-Briggs archetypes.

Myers Musings: Myers and Me

April 28, 2011

I seem to be on a Myers-Briggs kick this week (I hope more enjoyable than the HBD stuff). It has been a while since I posted anything personal.

Today I will mix the two. I will discuss how I see some of the other types.

Myers Musings: Matchmaking by Type

April 27, 2011

Inspired by comments from David Foster and Maurice on the possible evolutionary basis for seeking complementary (as compared to similar) types I decide to try my hand at Myers-Briggs matchmaking. There are several theories on type matching although all refuse to acknowledge sex differences. However tenuous my suggestions, I do at least consider that men and women are different, with different expectations.

Myers Musings: How Chicks Annoy

April 26, 2011

Any reading of game related literature will reveal the numerous ways women will seek to test and annoy their man. I certainly do not seek to deny that. However, as I said before, in Myers-Briggs terms, not all women are the same. Each type may express their perfidy in different ways.

Myers Musings: In Pictures

April 25, 2011

It is a while since I had a post with graphs. So following on from my post on the relative frequencies of female types, I present the same information in nice pictures.

Myers Musings: Not All Women Are Like That

April 23, 2011

It has always struck me that a lot of PU advice seems to describe all women as more like the ESFP party girl. While it is true that the bars and clubs where PUAs operate will probably attract a greater than expected number of ESFP, in Myers-Briggs terms, not all women are like that.
